THE HEARTS OF MAN

What stirs them?

There’s too much to remember
And too much to be forgotten

And our tasks keep us alive

What did you have to do today for a living?

I spoke with a young waitress the other day,
And she told me the tips pay very well,
But there’s not a day goes by, that she wishes
She wouldn’t die in a car accident

And one drives the rush hours in the morning
And evenings, and I think a lot of people
Must feel this way

It’s what man does to man

I know what the law is

The Law is a police officer, with
A gun taking your money

Owners and police officers,
Do you sleep well at night?

It seems that the more powerful
We become, the more people
We kill

And I know what power is

Power

Is a blind irrational force
