JOHN FISCHER

WAITING

Waiting is no fun.

Makes one sleepy,

Fidgety

Waiting: anticipation

Waiting: expectation

Bringing disordered disappointment.

Waiting feels like hope, hope is gone

Waiting spawns impatience

And questions:

When?

Why so long?

Waiting.

Divided, doing nothing

A big lien

On well being

Waiting taxes the spirit

Moving ahead stopped

Talking to myself instead:

It never comes when you want it.

Sometimes you don’t even see it

Coming.

Waiting in a stupor

Waning spirit in a loosing battle

Waiting to feel strong enough to shout

Strong enough to smack a pillow

Noise is wanted, hoped for

Needed to wake energy within

To stop endless waiting for nothing to happen.

Waiting: No fun
